Facilities

Cowl Cowl Station, once a 400,000 acre sheep station, is now a diversified highly technical business comprising four main enterprises:

  1. Farming & Irrigation - Utilising irrigation water from the Lachlan River and deep, fresh water aquifers, Cowl Cowl Station produces wheat, corn, faba beans, chickpeas, barley, canola and cotton subject to seasonal conditions.
  2. Livestock - Cowl Cowl Station has the largest single cashmere goat flock in Australia bred for the local goat meat market and for cashmere production.
  3. Vineyard - Cowl Cowl produces 63 hectares of premium wine grapes under contract for various wineries.
  4. Storage and marketing - Cowl Cowl Station has grain storage facilities capable of handling and storing 40,000 tonnes of grain. These are utilised to enable marketing throughout the year.
